Mughal Gardens

Srinagar’s Mughal Gardens are a timeless legacy of emperors who loved Kashmir so deeply they sought to recreate paradise here. Laid out in terraced grandeur along the shores of Dal Lake, the three great gardens Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi are masterpieces of Mughal design, alive with fountains, geometric flowerbeds, towering chinar trees, and the sound of flowing water. In spring, they burst into a riot of colour with tulips and roses in full bloom, while in autumn the ancient chinars turn a fiery gold. A stroll through these gardens is a stroll through history itself.
